Blessings of Liberty was composed in the wake of the September 11 attacks, commissioned by the Vermont Youth Orchestra for an uplifting concert opener. Originally conceived as a reflection on the enduring ideals enshrined in the U.S. Constitution, the work has since taken on a life beyond its origins, a bold, energizing fanfare that speaks to resilience, community, and the power of collective voice.
